State Licensing Requirements
Ellen's Home Daycare (EHDC) is a licensed daycare and complies with all state licensing regulations and standards. We are subject no-notice to inspections by the state.
Your Child's Hours:
Hours of childcare will be contracted on a per-child basis, but may not exceed 10 hours a day. The weekly rate is based on these contracted hours. Any change to these hours may result in a change in your weekly rate. The parent is required to notify me in writing at least 2 weeks in advance of any changes in the contracted hours. If parent is increasing hours, the daycare may not be able to accommodate the new schedule. If parent is going to part time and does not give at least 2 weeks written notice, normal weekly rate still applies.
EHDC reserves the right to terminate a part time position if the position can be filled with a full-time family. Parent may opt to pay for a full-time slot in order to keep part time position secure.
Late Pickup:
The daycare closes at 5:30. If your child is picked up after 5:30, you will be charged $5 every 15 minutes late.
Early Drop Off:
Please do not drop your child(ren) off early without making prior arrangements. If your child is dropped off early, you will be charged $5 for each 15 minutes you are early.
Note: Make checks payable to Ellen Sparks. No post dated checks will be accepted.
The daycare rate is subject to change. Parent will be given 2 weeks notice of any changes and will be required to resign a contract.
Payment Agreement:
EHDC will hold a future spot for a child as long as the holding fee is up to date. Holding fee will be discussed on a as needed basis. A non-refundable enrollment fee equivalent to 2 weeks of care is required upon enrollment. It will be credited towards child’s first week of care and last week of care. In the event child does not begin enrollment on the agreed upon date, childcare space will be forfeited and the deposit will not be returned to parent. Until security retainer is paid to daycare, spot will be considerable available. If child is part time and switches to full time the difference of last week of care needs to be paid when signing full-time contract.
Payday for the upcoming week is due on Friday by 6 pm. If it is a holiday week and provider closes daycare, payment due will be prorated. Payment must be paid in full Monday morning at drop off. Child will not be accepted into care until payment is made. Daycare may terminate contract for lack of payment.
A penalty charge of $15 will be added to current balance if payment is not received Friday by 6 pm.
A penalty charge of $25 will be charged for any returned checks and the payment must be made good immediately. After the 2nd returned check, you will be required to pay all future payments in cash.
Terminating contract:
This contract may be terminated by Parent by giving a two-week written notice in advance of the ending date. When notice is submitted, the last week of care will be covered by enrollment deposit. Notice may not be submitted while daycare is closed or child is on vacation. Notice must be submitted on the Friday before last week of care is needed.
EHDC may immediately terminate the contract without giving any notice if the parent breaks the contract or family must be let go for the protection of the other children.
Any vacation days left unused at the time of termination notice are forfeited.
Taxes:
Daycare will supply parent with a year end summary of all child care fees, paid for the year for tax purposes. This will be given to parent in January of each year or when services are terminated.
Child care damage fees:
Although the materials, supplies and equipment at the daycare were chosen with durability in mind, misuse or misbehavior may cause permanent damage. Parents are responsible for 100% of any damage above and beyond normal wear and tear caused by a child. Provider will give parent a copy of the receipt. That amount will be due with the next Friday 6pm payment. Daycare can choose to terminate a parent’s contract if parent does not pay for the item.
